The Researcher Development Programme (RDP) at the University of Strathclyde 

In the following video, Steven Owens, a PhD researcher from the University of Strathclyde, "talks about the benefits and impact of undertaking professional development as part of the RDP throughout his doctoral programme."  

Steve speaks about his experiences and the skills that he has learned, and in particular discusses two elements of Strathclyde's Researcher Development Programme that have enhanced both his current research and future prospects and skills:

1. Writing and Presenting Research; and his
2. Project Management Qualification*

 ...and as an aside, Steve - using his research expertise through the Advanced Space Concepts Laboratory in the University of Strathclyde - was also one of the PhD mentors to the winning team in the European (and Scottish) CanSat Competition 2012.
