Dr. Paul Lyden has been managing projects for over 25 years. Originally an academic, he spent 13 years in the computer industry before establishing Fistral in 1991. Paul's style is far from the academic fashion that most trainers adopt and has been successful in delivering courses in most European countries, USA and the Middle East. Paul Says: "As an independent project manager and consultant, it always amazes me what really adds value for the client. It is not the genius within the consultant that earns his fee but simple, practical techniques which allow everyone involved in the project to ask the right questions at the right time and gain the level of understanding to deliver managed stakeholder expectations. It’s as easy as that! The nice thing is that these simple techniques can be learned. That is what we set out to achieve in our training events." Fraser Robertson has been involved in large-scale corporate projects for over a decade. He has run development teams for blue chip organisations in such diverse locations as Zürich, New York, Shanghai, Johannesburg and Ljubljana. Fraser has used his project management experience to train and mentor in these cities as well as in the UK and Scandinavia. Fraser Says: ”By focusing on a number of tried and trusted techniques, we strip away a lot of the ‘white noise’ which surrounds projects, and project management in general, to get to the heart of the issues that make or break projects. And, most importantly, we don’t just talk about these – we are implementing them in every project we’re involved with so we know they work! This is what we bring to our training… tried, tested and trusted real life.”
