"We don’t just talk about project management, we implement these tools and techniques in every project we’re involved with - so we know what makes a difference - and the nice thing is that they can be learned!"

European Space Agency (ESA) feedback…

Project management courses held with the European Space Agency's ESOC and ESTEC centres were extremely well received, with a variety of comments and feedback on the course and instructors. See below for attendee comments from both courses.

The European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) is responsible for controlling European satellites and space probes, and the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) is the space technology and testing hub. The team were especially excited about working with staff who were responsible, for example, for monitoring and keeping the Earth safe from meteors and space debris - very cool jobs!

Top 5 comments about the course:

  1. "Well structured, step-by-step introduction to project management."
  2. "Straight-forward down to the point... Lots of common sense."
  3. "Very useful to understand better the insides of project management. Brought up many ideas that I can apply, also, to my own little projects."
  4. "Interesting, well balanced giving a sufficiently broad (for a first level course) overview of the different aspects of project management (either personal or more 'technical'). Course material and approach / logic suitable."
  5. "Good combination of lectures and hands-on sessions combined with real-life examples."

Top 5 instructor comments:

  1. "Very good, trainer managed to keep motivation high, examples well chosen, example project good."
  2. "Good charisma and enthusiasm."
  3. "I liked in particular not strictly following the slides, but describing everything in our own words and with examples. The way the contents were presented with both words and body language was much appreciated."
  4. "Excellent instruction and explanation."
  5. "Course instructor made the theory and tasks fun with good mixture of explanation, example and humour."

Attendees even said that the "jokes will help us to remember key points" and the "sense of humour was also very much appreciated" - maybe I should lay-off teasing the team for their awful jokes, they may not be as bad as I think...
