Participants from the University of Liverpool Doctoral College, scored our “Introduction to Project Planning’ (part 2) webinar, 4.79 out of 5 (5 being Excellent). The group included PhD students across various years of their study.
The session, ‘Scoping the Project,’ considers methods for identifying and managing different expectations. It goes on to examine how to establish and articulate the purpose driving a project, before exploring methods of defining critical success criteria upon which our work will be judged. Furthermore, it addresses the challenges of doing this within a setting such as research where often scope has to be flexible, and the end point can lack clarity.
The students agreed unanimously that they:
- Would recommend this session to a colleague
- Learnt new tools and techniques that they will put into practise
- Would attend more Fistral webinars
Comments from the attendees included:
- “I’ve really learnt a lot”
- “A great session”
We’ll see this group very shortly for the third and final session of this series entitled ‘Creating the Plan.’
