Project Management in the Real World (PMRW)
For those of you familiar with our flagship 2-day PMRW course, where on Day 2 participants are split into teams to plan a bridge building project, react to changes, apply all the project techniques we’ve discussed and ultimately bring a project from initiation to proposal and roll-out stage in order to ‘win the business’ (technically known as embedding the techniques and applying a deep learning approach by the trainers I think, but also enjoyable for the participants)…
Well, you may appreciate that in order to win the project in Day 2, one team this year – for the very first time ever – gave ‘Gerry’ a Valentine’s Card!
Unfortunately, although ‘Gerry’ was extremely flattered he was not to be bought, and the team’s accompanying project proposal was not strong enough to win. But thanks to all the teams at the University of Stilring for really engaging with the activities and having a fun day!
It shows the lengths to which some people go in order to win the ‘big red blob’ pen and some Fistral post-its…. Plus, we all love a trier. 🙂
