Centres for Doctoral Training – 100% would recommend ‘Planning for Uncertainty”

PhD students from two Centre’s for Doctoral Training (CDT) at the University of Bristol, attended all four sessions to complete our ‘Introduction to Project Planning” training recently. The CDT’s were Bristol Composites Institute (ACCIS) and EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Composites Science, Engineering and Manufacturing (CoSEM). Students were logged in from as far away as Sicily, demonstrating the benefits of webinars when face to face is not possible!

To complete the course, the students attended the following sessions:

  • Establishing Foundations
  • Scoping the Project
  • Creating the Plan
  • Planning for Uncertainty

The group gave this final session, ‘Planning for Uncertainty’, an overall feedback rating of 4.61 out of 5 (5 being Excellent). They agreed unanimously that they:

  • Would recommend this session to a colleague
  • Learnt new tools and techniques which they will put into practise
  • Would attend more Fistral webinars
