A group of PhD students working their way through our ‘Introduction to Project Planning’ webinar series, completed the course recently with part three: ‘Creating the Plan’. The group, from the University of Strathclyde Doctoral College, gave a fantastic overall feedback rating of 4.93 out of 5 (5 being excellent). The instructor was delighted to be given a perfect 5 for delivery of the course.
This session looks at the process of creating a robust project plan having defined the purpose, requirements and expectations in previous webinars. We look at identifying the tasks required to complete the project, before considering their sequence and scheduling. We then consider estimation in an uncertain environment before looking at resource planning.
In addition to the high feedback scores, the students also agreed 100% that they:
- Would recommend this session to a colleague
- Learnt new tools and techniques that they will put into place on return to desk/lab
- Would attend more Fistral webinars
