PhD students across all years of study from the University of Liverpool attended our ‘Establishing Foundations’ webinar. The session is part one of the ‘Introduction to Project Planning’ three-part course.
The webinar focuses on identifying the ‘building blocks’ of a project. It introduces the concept of initiation, considers the constraints of a project and methods for prioritisation. It goes on to examine the influence that stakeholders can have, and how to articulate a project’s outputs.
The students gave an overall feedback rating of 4.54 out of 5 for this session (5 being ‘Excellent’). Top three comments were:
- “An insightful session”
- “Very helpful”
- “Very useful”
We look forward to delivering part two of the course ‘Scoping the project’ to this group shortly. This next session considers identifying and managing different expectations and establishing and articulating the rationale driving a project as well as how to define success criteria.
