Researchers at the University of Dundee attended part two of Fistral’s ‘Introduction to Project Planning’ webinar series recently. Entitled ‘Scoping the Project’, it builds on the previous topics to begin to craft the outputs of the project.
The group gave the session an overall feedback rating of 4.73 out of 5 (5 being Excellent). We asked them which part of the webinar they found to be the most beneficial and why:
- “Reflection and positive actions to take”
- “It helped me focus and tailor my research objectives”
- “All”
- “How to be practical in your plan and perform better”
- “Examples from real life”
- “Work Breakdown Structure”
- “Using terms like work package and deliverables – I work in a project in 2 work packages and we submit [various] ‘deliverables’ so it is useful to see where the language came from”
- “Methods for project planning”
- “Examples”
Further comments from the attendees included; “The webinar was insightful and well organised”, “it was useful” and “really good host – breaks it down in such a way that it feels like a conversation rather than a lecture.”
