Uncertainty is inherent in any project, which makes it difficult to plan. This uncertainly is called risk. PhD students from the University of Strathclyde took a deep-dive with us into the subject of risk recently, on the first part of our Risk Management webinar series. Part one, ‘Planning and Identification’, looks at tools and techniques to proactively identify and respond to risk within a project. The session focuses on considering and addressing risk at the very initial planning stages of a project. It goes on to introduce techniques to help unearth problems proactively before they occur.
The students gave a great overall feedback rating of 4.74 for the session (5 being Excellent).
They agreed unanimously that they:
- Would recommend this session to a colleague
- Will put the learning into practise on return to desk/lab
- Would attend more Fistral webinars
Comments included “Very useful session thank you very much!” and “Great session.”
We look forward to seeing the group shortly for the next instalment of the training, ‘Assessment and Response.’
